Who:
We have hosted over 180 parent/child teams and look to increase that number this year. All are welcome. Whether you are a father, mother, aunt, uncle, or grandparent or you have more than one kid, it doesn’t matter as we have hosted about any team you can imagine.

What:
At an Outdoor Connection day you will be provided with many fun activities such as casting contests and bow-and-arrow shooting from Bass Pro Shops, inflatable bounce houses, all leading up to the catfish tournament.  If you don’t have a rod and reel or tackle, don’t fear, as they will be provided for those who need them.  The tournament will last around two hours and is followed by dinner, raffles for prizes, and medals for all the kids.  During your dinner we will also have guest speakers, legendary angler Hank Parker, and from Perception Ministries, Kenny Crosswhite.  If you’re wondering what all this fun costs then stop…because it is ABSOLUTELY FREE OF CHARGE.  That’s right; all we ask for is for you to have a blast with your kids and some attention at the end.

Why:
For the past two summers, Outdoor Connection in partnership with Perception Ministries has been a vision realized into a real and thriving event.  The vision of Outdoor Connection is three-fold.  First, Outdoor Connection desires to give parents an opportunity to slow down from life’s demanding schedule to spend an afternoon of quality time with their children.  Secondly, we wanted to share our knowledge of the outdoors in hopes of introducing a new hobby for families.  And most importantly, we wanted to share the hope and love that can only be found in Jesus Christ.
